Sell-off in Shanghai aluminum futures last night having minor effect on LME Aluminum 3M this morning. |
||
Thermal coal prices in China were down 10% last night, leading to Shanghai aluminum futures to also sell-off by over 5%. The LME Aluminum 3M is hovering unchanged this movement, despite the weakness in Chinese prices. The drop in Chinese thermal coal prices has weighed heavily on LME contracts in recent weeks.
